Harris Teeter 1 Mile Glow Run presented by truist

This course begins and ends at the Live Oak Bank Pavilion. Runners will head through the park and around the roundabout past the Sawmill Point Marina. Participants will run along the scenic Cape Fear during the second half of the course before turning back to end at the Live Oak Bank Pavilion. At the finish all the kids get their time, a race t-shirt, medal, and free food!

This race is the perfect addition to our action-packed racing weekend events. The Glow Run is designed to offer kids of all backgrounds and abilities an opportunity to experience the Wilmington Marathon weekend activities while promoting health and wellness. While the event is free, families can choose to purchase their child’s registration, or anyone can donate a registration through our platform. It’s a fantastic opportunity to get a taste of the racing weekend buzz while creating special memories with family and friends.

We kindly request that parents refrain from running with their kids during the race. With over 500 children participating, allowing parents to run as well would introduce several hundred additional people onto the course alongside the kids. If your child is unable to complete a mile without a parent, we ask that you reconsider signing them up for the race
