Parking & Shuttles
Park at Wrightsville Beach Park
Athletes have the option to park at Wrightsville Beach Park in the morning. The park is approximately one mile from the start line. Parking crews will guide you into the park and along W. Salisbury Street. When you cross the drawbridge, please stay to the left and take W. Salisbury Street to enter the park. This will reduce congestion for the shuttles. After the race, there will be passenger buses taking runners back to Wrightsville Beach Park from 9am to 1:30pm. The shuttle pickup location will be the same as the morning. You can use our shuttles, UBER, or take a taxi. There is no metered parking in February at Wrightsville Beach. Please park in legal parking spaces ONLY!

Get dropped off at the start
Text: If you can get dropped off in Wrightsville Beach, we encourage this! This helps reduce shuttle lines, ensuring those who absolutely need the shuttle can have a worry-free morning.
Drop off location: Anywhere on West Salibury Street – Drop off and Walk to Start. Driver can turn around on Pelican to leave the beach – Drop off Map
Park downtown and take our shuttle
We offer passenger buses to transport runners to the start from downtown Wilmington. The shuttles will arrive at 3:45 a.m. and the first shuttle(s) will leave at 4:00 a.m. If you decide to take the shuttle, please arrive as early as possible. If you arrive after 6:00 a.m., we cannot guarantee you will make it to the 7:00 a.m. start. The shuttles are for participants only.

Bag Drop
You have the option to drop your bag at the start or Friday at the finish line
This bag is only for the clothes you want at the finish. You can drop your bag Friday from 1pm to 7pm or Saturday at the race start. Do not put following items in your bag: phones; keys; money; valuables. Wilmington Marathon is not responsible for lost valuables kept in your bag. You can use the Novant Health bag you receive at packet pickup, or you can use your own bag. Please mark your bag with something recognizable and write your number on it so that it is easily recognizable at the finish. The gear pick up location is on the hill next to the finish line. All of the bags will be visible just past the athlete zone.
