Make sure you READ all pre-event information and check the website to make sure you have all your questions answered. The website has all of this information as well. Please look through the FAQ, Course Maps and all the information to clarify any questions you may have.
THE RACE WILL START IN WAVES:
- Wave #1 6:15AM
- 26.2 4:45:00 to 6:00:00 hours
- 13.1 2:40:00 to 3:15:00 hours
- Wave #2 6:40AM (Official USATF Gun Start)
- 26.2 Elite to 4:00:00 hours
- 13.1 Elite to 2:00:00 hours
- Wave #3 6:45AM
- 26.2 4:00:00 to 4:45:00 hours
- 13.1 2:00:00 to 2:40:00 hours
- If your get your packet and you are not assigned to the correct wave, please go to the timing table and we will place you in the correct wave and issue you a new stamp on your bib.
PRE-RACE ATHLETE MEETINGS
- All athletes are strongly suggested to attend 1 of the 3 pre-race meetings. We will go over the course in detail, answer any questions or concerns you may have, and ensure your race day goes smoothly.
- Friday: 6:30PM at Expo Tent
- Saturday: 12:00PM at Expo Tent
- Saturday: 3:00PM at Expo Tent
SUNDAY MORNING SHUTTLES
- Your best option is to park at the finish line race morning and take the shuttle to the start. Shuttles will run from 4:45am to 6:00am with the last shuttle arriving at the start by 6:10am. IT IS YOUR JOB TO GET TO THE SHUTTLE EARLY. THE LAST SHUTTLE WILL DEPART AT 6:00AM. DO NOT WAIT UNTIL 5:50AM TO GET THERE.
- If you do not take the shuttle and you have someone drop you off, make sure they do so BEFORE 6:10AM. The Wrightsville Beach Bridge will be closed down to 1 lane starting at 6:10AM.
- If you are staying at the beach, you can get to the start whenever you would like. Shuttles will be taking runners from the finish, back to the start from 9:00AM to 1:00PM
- There will be LIMITED parking at the start, it is strongly suggested you park at the finish and take the shuttle.
KEY INFORMATION:
- Gear check is completely optional. We will take your bags from the start to the finish, but we are not responsible for valuable items. Do not include keys, wallats, ipods or the other items of the sort. Your best option is to park at the finish and leave your gear in your car for after the race.
- FULL MARATHON: Must finish with a wrist band
- FULL MARATHON: Do not just run the half course you will be DQed for timing interference.
- FULL MARATHON: Must hold a 13:00/mi pace and be across the WB Bridge by 9:30AM
- HALF MARATHON: Must hold a 15:00/mi pace
- Start in the correct WAVE
- There are NO Transfers from FULL/HALF to 5K
- HEADPHONES: are NOT recommended. Be respectful and listen to our volunteers and race crew.
- RELAYS: Your first runner is the only one responsible to be at the start. All other team members are responsible for finding their way to the exchange point. Your team will have a bib on a belt to exchange. There is only ONE exchange point. Be ready for your 1st and 2nd runner at the exchange. You can park across the street from the exchange at Lumina Station.
- COURSE NUTRITION: For half and full marathoners: Water, Gatorade, Hammer Gels (and Twizzlers for the full marathon)
- PACKET PICKUP: 4:00PM to 8:00PM on Friday, or 11:00AM to 6:00PM Saturday. No morning packet pickup. You must pickup your packet at the times above. Make arrangments to have friends or family pick it up if you cannot be there.
PASTA DINNER, 5K, 1 mile FUN RUN
- Tickets and registrations are still available. You have 1 day to sign up online, or you can sign up at the expo.
